Success Criteria

DEEP FEATURES Brainstorms to identify main ideas to be used in writing. Uses most of the main ideas in the writing. Uses paragraphs and sequences ideas. Attempts to end writing with a simple conclusions.

SURFACE FEATURES Spells most words correctly. Uses capital letters, full stops, commas, apostrophes, question marks, exclamation marks.

THE REWORKER / EDITOR Rereads writing to edit out information that does not improve the message. Rereads writing to edit in words and phrases that improve the message. Uses a dictionary to identify and check spelling attempts. Checks writing for basic punctuation.

Best Times

This is a story of my holidays, when we were on the break from school. A time to be with your friends and family. Hope you enjoy it.

We were driving and driving but then I saw the snow on the hills. When we got there we went tobogganing. Plus we make this awesome snow man. I climbed up hills and broke the ice on the rocks and pushed the snow off the hill.

When we were at the snow, we stayed at the Chateau. It was so big and there was a tv in my room. We had big dinners and breakfasts. My dad had 7 and 6 bits of bacon and I went crazy went dessert.

After we left the Chateau we went to the caves. We went to 3 caves. My favourite was the glow worm cave. It was over 2 days. The place we stayed at had its kitchen outside. Jack and I had to climb a ladder to get to bed. In the morning we jumped onto my mum and dads bed.   

I went to Wellington to see my cousins new house. My cousin names are Nina and Joseph. They came to How To Train Your Dragon 2 with us. That night we all helped to make diner. It was dumpling night. Nina and  I made beef mince. And the boys made prawns.  

I liked the Chateau best because of the dessert.
